Designed to bridge the gap between higher education and the dynamic fields of Animation, Games, and VFX, this series highlights emerging trends and projects shaping the future of Extended Reality (XR).
The upcoming “Inside XR” livestream, hosted by Andreas Dahn at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg’s Animationsinstitut, is set to spotlight projects developed in Baden-Württemberg, showcasing how XR can gamify critical societal topics.
Joining Andreas will be guest speakers Dr. Oliver Langewitz (Filmboard Karlsruhe) and Christoph Rasulis (Pixelcloud), who bring their expertise to the table with two distinct projects:
- “Wahrheit im Schatten” by Dr. Oliver Langewitz: An interactive 180° 3D film project that creatively emphasizes the importance of democracy.
- “Carbon Dream$ Land” by Christoph Rasulis: A mission-based multiplayer co-op action game that invites players to battle misinformation about climate change through fun, teamwork, and puzzles.
These projects demonstrate the power of XR to entertain while addressing critical challenges, and attendees will have the unique opportunity to test and discuss them directly with the creators.
